a beautiful early fall day at Lake Koocanusa when Mr.Elusive Loon came swimming by, he is very elusive and quickly dives when seen making it a challenge to capture his beauty. He has red eyes now but they will change to gray come winter as they are only red during summer. He can stay under water for long periods of time making it difficult to track him, as you never know where he will pop up, such a shy bird. The loon is the official Canadian symbol of wilderness, they also have a beautiful and distinct sound
